The Awesome Rapom V8 built by
Nick Argyle, is the most powerful motorcycle in Great Britain.
The bike runs on pure
alcohol and with a fuel consumption rate of 4 miles to the gallon it has a
monster appetite too.
At the heart of the road-legal machine is an 8.2-litre, supercharged V8 monster-truck engine that develops
1200HP.
The monster weighs in at 450kg with a super-long wheelbase to prevent it flipping backwards under hard
acceleration. The bike can reach 0 to 60 mph in 2 seconds and can
travel at 220mph.

The unique bike was created in a home garage in Broadway,
Worcestershire, UK, at a cost of £40,000. It was spawned from the unusual marriage of convenience and naiveté, says its builder.
Electrician Nick Argyle was searching for a much smaller project after selling the chassis of his monster-truck.
He said: "I didn't have the same workshop space I had when I built the truck. I only had the house garage so it had to be a bike."
"I was going to buy a new engine for the project but my wife told me to use the one that was still in the garage – the monster-truck engine! Despite its size, I thought 'Why not?'"
The bike kicks out 1200
horse power at max boost from the super charger and will truly reach its full potential on a drag strip
like Santa Pod raceway.

Worlds Fastest Motorcycle
The Dodge Tomahawk 2003 is
currently the fastest motorcycle at 315mph.

The Dodge Tomahawk was originally
a concept bike built to show off Dodge engineering capabilities but so
much interest accumulated over this awesome machine that orders for this
bike came in thick and fast. Dodge-Chrysler
sold ten of these bikes through Neiman Marcus Ltd, for up to $555,000
each. These bikes cannot be legally driven on public roads, but they can
still be driven on private roads.
The Tomahawk has a
modified Dodge Viper 8.3 litre V-10 engine with 500 horsepower at
disposal, a machine in the true tradition of petrol-head passion.
The Tomahawk can reach
60 mph in 2.5 seconds, and has an estimated top speed of 400 mph,
whilst breathing through twin ram
jet throttle portals mounted right up front that open as the throttle is
twisted in proportion.

The Tomahawk has four
wheels, each pair is separated by a few inches and each wheel has
independent suspension. When cornering both sets of wheels on each hub
are still in 100% contact with the ground and the inner wheel will turn
slower than the outer for maximum control and grip. Four wheels were necessary
say Dodge to handle the power output from the engine

To see a rider on this bike gives
one impressions of Marvel Comics action hero Judge Dredd or illusions of the bike in the film
'Tron'
with Jeff Bridges as the scientist caught up in a futuristic bike racing
game.
The rider doesn't sit on this bike he sort of lies across
it, reducing drag and giving better aerodynamic efficiencies. This
low drag coefficient would be needed if traveling at 300mph + or the
rider would literally be blown off.

The engineering, it has
been stated is more reminiscent of fine art or a rolling sculpture and
who could disagree. Dodge have real surpassed themselves with what real
is an awesome machine in every aspect.
