The art of subterfuge has in its arsenal a very lethal weapon and that is the weapon of character assassination.  The candidate is selected and then the assignment is put into operation by unscrupulous persons, and the their target is then subjected to bad press guaranteed to destroy their character and credibility.  The character assassin is very accurate as they never miss their target and hit home every time.

Some of the best candidates for character assassination are amongst the following: A whistleblower, a bigmouth, a trouble maker, a conspiracy theorist, a truth seeker, a failing politician, a political candidate, a business opponent, a non-conformist, a celebrity, a spouse or even a petty criminal.  All of these people are ripe for being discredited and history dictates that they usually are.

Character assassination is just as lethal as a shot being fired from a gun as it will totally destroy the candidate if carried out properly.  To destroy someone's credibility will null and void them for everything they have ever said and done, past, present and will silence any proposed future assignments too.

Character assassination is just as good as shooting a person dead except that no firearms or other weapons are involved at all and can therefore be carried out by anyone of reasonable standing and an avenue to make public the " news " of the candidates indiscretions.

The government and all political parties can use the premise of character assassination to discredit and destroy political opponents and dissidents of the state.  It is a powerful part of their false flag portfolio, dealing with those who are getting too big for their boots.

If you are making public disclosures where these disclosures are not warranted, if you are upsetting the wrong people, then you may be a candidate for character assassination.  When your reputation and credibility has been severely marred, it is very difficult, if not impossible to get reinstated and exonerated.

Mud sticks and peoples memories can be surprisingly long! For all intents and purposes you may as well have been shot and killed, its just as effective and takes you out of the scene for good...RIP.

To assassinate someone's reputation, character and credibility is a sure fire way to get them practically dead and buried.  You are left in the poop without a sponge, nobody will want to know you.  You will be avoided like the plague, ignored and ostracized and it doesn't take much to put this into operation.

If you are a high profile personality then your career is all but over once your character has been shot to ribbons.  Methods of character assassination usually revolve around the candidate allegedly saying or doing some unsavory act, this may be a racist remark, using drugs, homosexual and infidelity acts, downloading pornography,  or other more serious criminal activity.

Once the candidate has been accused of committing such an act it immediately throws a bad light on that person and they then face an uphill struggle to clear their name.  When dissension through defamation has been played its hard to eradicate and many of those in the limelight have fallen victim to its powerful action

DIY ASSASSINATION

Some actual cases of self induced character assassination are not uncommon and hit the headlines quite often.

Big-time UK TV celebrity Michael Barrymore was in the news several years ago over the story of a man found dead in his swimming pool at a gay drugs party at his home.  Despite several court cases to clear his name, the mud was spread, his character had been self assassinated and that was the end of him.  Despite trying several comebacks, his career was well and truly finished.

Below an image of Michael Barrymore was shown shortly after the fiasco as he pushed a wheelbarrow, apparently as an odd job man.

If you are a celebrity or high profile personality, there is no way that you would want to work with a disgraced persona as it would reflect on your own career.  Henceforth fallen stars are shunned, they are deemed as bad news and to be disassociated with at all costs...that's the downside of show business.

1970's glam rock star Gary Glitter also disgraced himself when it was disclosed that he had child pornography on his computer.  The public was rightfully shocked and Glitters reputation, credibility and character was rightfully destroyed, all of his work and music was buried with him.  No radio or TV station ever plays any of his music, as to do so would indeed be in very bad taste.

NOTE:

Gary Glitter actually wanted to make a comeback and was apparently trying to discuss recording a new album.  Not surprisingly he was having trouble finding anyone to be involved with him and record companies were right when they mused " Who the hells going to buy any of his  stuff again?  " and refused to have anything to do with him, saying he was a delusional paedophile.

When Vietnamese authorities learned that Glitter was living in their country, they immediately kicked him out and he scurried back to Britain.  Below is shown an image of Glitter as he was jostled by Vietnamese security.

As soon as the mud is smeared, it is inordinately difficult to cleanse oneself, as the public invariably remember and will always ostracize those that are publicly defamed.

LAYING DOWN THE POISON

When character assassination is carried out though, it gives us an idea of how powerful it really is to have mud thrown at you.  Once your reputation, credibility and good character has been marred it really does practically kill you off.

Its then a long and hard struggle to clear your name and it will involve a lot of initial legal costs to do so.  Lawsuits are always expensive and you have got to be pretty certain that you can win hands down before embarking on legal proceedings, otherwise you will end up paying all the costs.

The assassin himself may be associated with the media and they will feed the press with all the damning information on the candidate.

The press literally lap it up like swine lapping up swill, hence pig-press is their more than suitable name. Muck spreading is not an occupation that is just reserved for the farm but is widely used in the editors office.

When the poisoned pen writes its derogative tale the candidate will fall nearly every time.  The poison is laid gown, the candidate is in the sights, there is always someone who is happy to oblige and slander for brownie points, uncaring to the damage they are causing.

Like pushing someone off a cliff it has the same result except there are never any murder charges, even though a murder of sorts has been committed.  Character assassination against innocent victims is a crime and should be deemed as attempted murder, at least due to the bad situation they are putting the candidate in, ruining their lives and poising them of a knife edge so they may even to consider to be or not to be.
