Unlike the great Harry Houdini, Hitler was not an escapologist by any sense of the word as Hitler never escaped from his fate in the Reichbunker.
At the end of WWII in 1945, Adolf
Hitler, with his world crumbling around him, committed suicide in his
bunker under the Reich Chancellery. Since the remains of his body
were n In fact every conspiracy theorist worth his weight in gold has suggested that Hitler actually escaped from Berlin, via car, plane and then submarine. It is suggested that he went to South America more notably Argentina, where he lived until a ripe old age. Either way, Hitler is certainly dead now, as he was born in April, 1889 meaning he would be over 122 years old at time of writing. As far as the
truth of the matter is concerned, there are some lateral aspects that Around 200 liters of fuel was poured over the bodies and the funeral pyre was set alight, the bodies then completely burned up under the tremendous heat. Berlins suburbs were also under constant and heavy shelling from Soviet artillery just a few miles away. There is a chance that a shell exploded by the burning corpses in the Reich Chancellery garden and further disintegrated them, as only limited remains were found by the Soviets. HITLER WOULD NOT HAVE ESCAPED
It we look at it objectionably, then it becomes clear that Hitler did in fact die in his bunker under the Reich Chancellery in 1945. There are actually quite a few solid reasons that support this.
FACT 1: Adolf Hilter was an animal lover, he owned a German
Shepherd dog called Blondi, she was actually given to him by his
acquaintance, Martin Bormann, in 1941. On the last day of Hitlers
life in the bunker, he Hitler finally decided to put the dog to sleep and fed it poison, a few hours before he killed himself. The body of the dog was later found by the Soviets when they entered the bunker, they also found a dead puppy...it was one of a litter of five puppies that Blondi had given birth to in the bunker...sired by Gerdy Troost's German Shepherd Harass. Had Hitler escaped, its natural to assume that the dog would also have gone with him. Could you image the scenario of Hitler, his new wife and the dog, going together in a car, to then board an airplane and then board a U-boat, all bound for Argentina...I somehow doubt it. I could imagine Hitler saying to the U-boat captain " Herr Kapitan!...take Blondi for walkies around the torpedo room "
FACT 2: Vice Admiral Hans Erich Voss who was present in the bunker during and after Hitlers suicide stated " When Goebbels learned that Hitler had committed suicide, he was very depressed and said: 'It is a great pity that such a man is not with us any longer. But there is nothing to be done. For us, everything is now lost and the only way left for us is the one in which Hitler chose. I shall follow his example' "
After Hitlers death, very close friend, colleague and confidant, Dr Josef Goebbels (seen above) committed suicide along with his wife, he actually ordered two SS troopers to shoot them both in the head a the same time after swallowing cyanide.
His six children were given a sweetened morphine drink by Hitlers SS dentist Dr Helmut Kunz and cyanide was administered by Magda when the children were unconscious, they then died almost instantly, knowing nothing about it. Due to his fondness of children, Hitler would never have permitted this to occur had he escaped. He would have arranged for them to have escaped as well, this is perhaps the most profound piece of circumstantial evidence indicating that Hitler indeed died in the bunker.
Below is a photo of the six dead children, the sixth just being out of camera-shot on the right. Unlike Goebbels and his wife Magda, the dead children were obviously not cremated.
FACT 3: In those final days, Hitler was surrounded with officers, soldiers, adjutants, confidants, friends and his new wife Eva Braun. If Hitler had escaped then it would be fair to suggest that at least one or two of these people would have escaped along with him....but as we shall see none ever did. Amongst others in the bunker were, Waffen SS Brigadefuhrer Wilhelm Mohnke who lead a break out from the bunker, he later surrendered to the allies. Hitlers pilot, Hans Baur was shot in the leg and captured by the Soviets. Reich Sicherheitsdienst -RSD- chief and bodyguard, Hans Rattenhuber was also captured by the Soviets. Hitlers secretaries Gerda Christian, Else Kruger and Traudle Reich initially escaped out of the bunker but were later discovered by the Soviets. They were hiding in a cellar off the Schönhauser Allee railway station in the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin.
Everyone from the bunker who was caught by the Russians were interrogated by SMERSH the Russian secret police and this is how the world generally learned of how Hitler spent his last days before committing suicide in the bunker. Eva Braun seen below, was never seen again because she died with Hitler, the rest of Hitlers officers, soldiers, adjutants and confidants were either caught, found dead or were killed some time after Hitlers death. Had Hitler escaped, Josef Goebbels and family along with Eva Braun would at least have escaped with him.
FACT 4: There were a lot of suicides from high ranking officers shortly after Hitlers own death. This would suggest that Hitler did in fact die or these men would have stayed with him or at least stayed alive as long as possible. Reichsarzt SS Ernst Robert Grawitz who was Hitlers personal physician who supplied Hitler the cyanide, committed suicide along with his unaware family by detonating two hand grenades as the family sat around a table having supper at their home. General der Infanterie Wilhelm Burgdorf committed suicide in the bunker with a single shot to the temple. General der Infanterie Hans Klebb committed suicide in the bunker also with a single shot to the temple. SS Obersturmbannführer Franz Schädle committed suicide in the bunker in the same way. FACT 5: At the age
of 56, Hitler was suffering from Parkinson's disease as evident We can quite strongly assume that Hitler would indeed have preferred to stay in Berlin until the end. His life's ambition was to see a new Germany and a new race of Germans, thoughts of his own safety would not have been a priority even though he knew his dream was over. FACT 6: Hitler had nowhere to run to. If Hitler had escaped then where would he have gone and who would he have gone with? as all who were with him have been accounted for. The fact of the matter is that after April 30th, 1945, Hitler was never seen alive by anyone again. Hitlers confidants would have been sworn to secrecy and would have honored their oaths to the Fuhrer. However, there would have been a fair few people who would have known about any escape attempt by Hitler. Many of those in the bunker, airplane pilots, drivers, soldiers, U-boat crew ( if he used a U-boat to get to South America as suggested by conspiracy theorists) in fact all the people in the escape line would have to keep it forever secret...a tall order. Understanding human nature, someone, somewhere, either drunk or at a low ebb, would have talked about it for that ego boost. However, nothing has ever been mentioned by anyone about any Hitler escape attempt. Of course there were some spurious unaccountable sightings of him in South America but with no supporting evidence, other witnesses etc, it can be written off as mistaken identity or sensationalistic lies.
FACT 7. Even by shaving off his moustache, his hair and wearing a disguise, Hitler would still have been recognized anywhere he went. For example, even when I drew a beard on Hitler, altered his eyebrows and made his hair different as seen below, his resemblance still shines through.
Reichfuhrer Heinrich Himmler, the Chief of the Gestapo tried to disguise himself by donning civilian clothing, shaving off his moustache and wearing an eye patch but was still recognized by troops and arrested. Whilst in custody, Himmler committed suicide by biting on a cyanide capsule that was concealed within a drilled out tooth.
FACT 8: As previously stated, the Reich Chancellery garden along with the surrounding area was under constant and heavy bombardment from Soviet artillery and it has been suggested that a shell landed in the vicinity of the burning corpses and further disintegrated them. DOPPLEGANGER: A SOVIET ANOMALY However, the Soviets apparently claimed that they found a dead body that resembled Hitler in the bunker and it was photographed...as seen below. Upon closer inspection it appeared that this was not Hitlers body after all. The face, although similar does not bear close resemblance to Hilter and the ears stick out too much. So the question was asked...who was it and what was it doing there?
It is thought that Hilter always had doubles just like most famous leaders do, even to this day. The body was later believed to be that of Gustav Weler, he was apparently used as Hitlers double, a political decoy. It is thought that this doppelganger was executed and left in the bunker to create confusion...and it certainly did as it contradicted the cremation story. Had this actually been the real body of Hitler, then we can assume that the staff in the bunker would have cremated it anyway...so it had to be a double but it certainly wasn't Hilter. It was even suggested that the Soviets planted the body there, for whatever reason. Hitler stated that he did not want his body strung up and put on display as had happened to the corpse of Italian dictator, Mussolini. So it stands to reason that he would have ordered his staff to cremate his body, below is the actual crater in which the bodies of Hitler and Eva Braun were cremated.
The crater was thoroughly examined by the Soviets, later by the British and the Americans. Samples of earth were taken away for analysis and it is believed that the Soviets also obtained some bone fragments, in particular a piece of skull. However this skull fragment has never officially been proven to be that of Hitler. DOPPLEGANGERS Hitlers chauffer, Julius Schreck was asked by Hilter to grow the same moustache and in that way he could act as his double if needs be. Julius Schreck is seen in the image below next to Hitler and at a distance they do have a similar appearance.
Incidentally, Julius Schreck died in a road traffic accident in 1936, but it still stands as proof that Hitler liked the idea of having a double. If I myself was a powerful world leader, especially in wartime, I would also have a double. It is more profound in wartime that you would have a lot of enemies. As Julius Caesar stated, " Friends come and go but enemies accumulate " on this paradigm it would be very wise to have a double or as many as possible. Saddam Hussein had so many doubles that I doubt very much that the man that was hung was actually him. In fact when Saddams wife went to see him in the US prison compound she allegedly came out screaming " Where is my husband? I am wanting to see my husband " Doubles are almost identical to their original counterpart but never exactly identical. For example, the man that was hung, purporting to be Saddam Hussein, had an uneven row of teeth, see lower right. Yet the real Saddam Hussein, seen on lower left, had a perfect set of teeth!...oh and a mole is missing off the real Saddams temple too!
If Hilter had doppelgangers, then they were very good ones, as the world has never known about them. These doubles would not of course ever made any public speeches or held conferences with generals etc but merely to be seen in a car or laid up in Hitlers office in Berlin. The real Adolf Hitler could then have visited troops at the front, taken a vacation, fooled the enemy as to his whereabouts and a whole host of other strategies. We shall never know now though, as it all happened a long time ago...nearly 70 years at time of writing and historic research becomes harder as time goes by. THE DILUTED MYTH
I hope though that this page has at least helped to dilute the myth that Hitler escaped out of Germany at the end of WWII. It is currently believed that the myth that Hitler escaped Berlin was perpetuated by Stalin who had political reasons for keeping Hitler alive. Hitler committed suicide in his bunker April 30th, 1945, as quite simply there was nowhere for him to go, especially with his declining state of health. The last assassination attempt on his life in July 1944 had also left him with mobility problems for which he was taking medication, his hearing had also never fully recovered and it is thought that he had Parkinson's disease. He was tired, dishevelled and a broken man, a shadow of his former self and he finally accepted that the war and all his visions and dreams were lost. He must have known that if he escaped, he would be in hiding for the rest of his life like a hunted animal. This is something that the once proud and charismatic leader of the Thousand Year Reich could never have lived with. Hitler literally had nothing else left to live for, his existence was now pointless. Suicide was the only option, to die in the way of his choosing with the women he loved. He bit on a cyanide capsule and before it could take effect, shot himself in the temple with a 7.65mm Walther PPK for good measure. Eva Braun did not get shot, she just ingested the cyanide after biting the capsule...coma would have occurred in only a few seconds, followed by cardiac arrest and death.
It was at that point that the war in Europe, that had lasted 5 bitter years and cost tens of millions of lives was basically concluded. SUPPLIMENTARY Had Hitler won the war and had lived to be in his 80s or 90s then it is thought that the Photoshopped image below is what he would have looked like in his old age.
When Hitler died, the Third Reich died along with him and in many ways its a good job that it did. History reminds us of how Hitlers evil regime exercised its dastardly operations against innocent women and children in Europe, notably Czechoslovakia, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and later...Russia. The Nazis persecuted many peoples, more notably those who were of the Jewish faith. Six million Jews are said to have been murdered by Hitlers harsh policies and tens of thousands more had to abandon their homes and their country to escape Hitlers wrath.. Firing squads, as seen below, were an everyday occurrence in these occupied countries. Would it have been any different in Britain or the USA, had Hitler won the war and occupied these countries as well?
Nazi occupied Britain or Nazi occupied USA is unthinkable today, but it could have been a reality back in the 1940's. Concentration camps would have been set up in Great Britain and America just as they had been in Europe. The Nazis stated that a Jew was a Jew, regardless of what country they originated from, so we can assume that Jews in the USA and GB would have met the same fate as those poor souls did in Europe.
The Einsatzgruppen SS, officially known as Einsatzgruppen der Sicherheitspolizei und des Sicherheitsdienst were Hitlers death squads, similar to Cambodia's Khmer Rouge run by Pol Pot and China's Red Guard run by Moa Zedong. The Einsatzgruppen SS are estimated to have murdered around one million innocent men, women and children, including Jews, gypsies, and different religious groups during Hitlers purge of Europe. Adolf Hitler was almost solely responsible for WWII, he galvanized an entire nation to take up arms and start a war. His Gestapo, SS and SD terrorised an entire continent and murdered millions in mass graves, depraved prisons and concentration camps. Hitlers armies invaded peaceful countries, carrying out his hostile takeover agenda and millions of soldiers perished in a needless war.
Hitler, through his evil policies was responsible for so much distress, unhappiness, pain, tears, blood and suffering that thoughts of WWII still resounds with us today. The very name of Adolf Hitler is still profound too and he is mentioned in movies, documentaries, books, novels, drawings, paintings and even this webpage. Hitler was nothing but a dictator, an evil tyrant whose evil regime showed no empathy, no remorse, no compassion, no peace or love, just war, hate, misery and death. History such as the contemporary history of WWII, should remind us what is possible for demented personalities to carry out and every move should be made to ensure that it never happens again.
Since the advent of the atomic bomb and the total
annihilation it can render, this ultimate threat has also acted as the
ultimate deterrent. It is ironic that such a terrible weapon has
been responsible for so much peace between the usual warring nations of
Europe. Since the end of WWII we have not had another world war, we
are still having conflicts' but nothing on the same scale as WWII...lets
hope it stays that way.
