This page is all about an all metal 1:18 scale model Ferrari 328 GTB, it is the fixed head coupe version of one driven by TV Hero 'Thomas Magnum P.I' played by Tom Selleck.

This particular Ferrari is my all time favourite, I did love the Ferrari F50 Koenig but this is the Ferrari that I would buy if I had the cash...the 328 GTB. Its a shear classic !

First let me say that this model was quite expensive at £60.00 but the detail is meggafantastic !

The model is made by a Japanese company called 'Kyosho' and they have made what is probably the best 1:18 scale model of this car in existence...for the money.  I think that there are models of this car in the $1500 range but lets face it, that's rocket money that no ordinary citizen can afford.

You can choose whether to display this model with the authentic looking lights retracted or detracted as there is a little button under the front left side valance that when pushed allows the lights to pop up, a nice touch I thought.

Every attention to the minutest detail is present, the wiper arms are particularly fragile and care has to be exercised when dusting the model.

Beautiful lines, fantastic shape...its all typical of Ferrari engineering and a credit to Kyosho for faithfully reproducing it to exact specification.

On normal 1:18 scale models you don't get such detail as the Arial antenna or the Ferrari logo on the center of the wheels, not to mention the little metal badge on the rear panel.

As with the majority of 1:18 scale model cars, the doors, bonnet and trunk all open up, but they don't all have the exacting detail inside when they do.  This model of course is different.

Checkout the wiring to the spark plugs and the tiny name plates and labels on this baby ! also the very fine mesh grill housed in the trunk lid....superb.

The interior gauges are made from a sticker, but its more than adequate to show the dials, the seats have a leather feel to them, there is a carpet simulated material  on the floor, there are seat belts and seat belt buckles, the gear lever  and handbrake are present as are the indicator stalks and the steering wheel turns about half a turn to turn the wheels.

The rear view mirror actually has  a mirror in it, the doors have the door locking buttons and there are pedals in the footwells.

Overall a very good model, its my only expensive Ferrari model, I have a couple of Burago, Polistil and Revell models that are great, but this Kyosho model is the business.

 You always get what you pay for.
