These 1:18 scale models are quite small, about the same size as a mobile phone and they are cheap to collect at around $8 to 10.00 each !

There is not a lot of intricate detail on these 1:18 scale bikes, they have no cables or working parts except that the wheels revolve and the steering moves but that's about it.

People normally place these models, well....anywhere, they are light, small and won't smash to bits if knocked over or dropped.  Children can play with them too as they are so cheap.

Suzuki GSX1300 Hayabusa in 1:18 Scale by Maisto

Not a bad 1:18 scale model, but still cheapo, looks ok on my narrow flat screen monitor top though.

Suzuki R GSX in 1:10 Scale by Maisto

This one isn't too bad, but again its only worth $15.00 mainly all plastic, cheap plastic, more like a toy than a scale model. 2 out of 10.

Vincent Black Shadow HRD1000 in 1:12 Scale by Minichamps.

An expensive well made and exceedingly high detailed, very fragile metal and plastic model.  These are expensive too at around $150.  I already have a page on the Vincent motorcycle, so I didn't want to do another exposé on it.

None of the suspension or levers move on this bike ,it is just a 100% static display piece.

Harley Davidson FatBoy 95th Anniversary Edition in 1:10 Scale by Franklin Mint.

This model was £100 in British Pounds Sterling.  I wasn't going to feature this particular model on my site as I decided to only feature two Harleys, the 1958 Duo Glide and the 1997 Springer...please see my other pages about them.

 I thought, However, that I might as well put all the initial practice photo shoot session images that I took of it on here so as not to waste them.

The bike hasn't been dusted down or cleaned as I was just testing my camera out on it to get the angles and lighting right for photos of other bikes.

Yamaha Virago 1100 in 1:12 Scale by New Ray.

This model was quite cheap for a 1:12 scale, not too bad, not up to Minichamps standards.  The subject matter though of a Yamaha Virago 1100 cruiser has not been covered by any other model makers, as far as I am aware, so it was this or nothing !

Race Ace Valentino Rossi sitting on my1:12 scale classic model of a 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900, is that why he's smiling and I thought it was because he had just won a race !

These have been some "run off " photos that I took and was going to scrap but decided not to waste them and instead make another web page about model bikes.
